Owen C. McLaughlin, 42, of Syracuse passed away Tuesday February 4, 2020. Owen was a member of the 1995 Graduating class from Corcoran. He attended Most Holy Rosary for Grammar school where he also received all his sacraments. After spending six years in US Navy he attended Syracuse University where he obtained his Bachelors. Owens personality could light up a room, with an infectious love and laughter. The carefree big hearted wanderer that would put a smile on everyone's face. He was a free spirit who knew no boundaries and lived life to the fullest with the best intentions. He was known for his thoughtfulness and kind gestures for his loved ones, especially his nieces and nephew. He was predeceased by his grandparents Doris & Bud Clark, and Donald & Arlene McLaughlin. He is survived by his Parents Edward & Ellen; a brother, Brian; Sisters, Lisa & Maura; nieces, Kaylee, Alex & Megan and nephews Callum & Zachary. A Funeral Service will be held Sunday February 9, 2020 at 5pm at the Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave, Syracuse. Calling hours will be held 2-5pm prior to the Service. A private burial will be in Onondaga County Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas or the CNYSPCA, 5878 E Molloy Rd, Syracuse, NY 13211.
