Obituary of Mary "Maroney" Ryan

Mary Maroney Ryan December 26, 2011 Mary Maroney Ryan, 93, died Monday at Iroquois Nursing Home surrounded by her family. Mary was born in Syracuse and lived here all her life. She graduated from St. Patrick's High School and was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church all her life. Mary worked as a bookkeeper at the Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home.

She was predeceased by her husband, Edward J., and daughter-in-law, Janice Ryan.

She is survived by her daughters, Sister Mary Kay Ryan, CSJ, Judy (Chuck) Renders, Margaret (Tim) Hussong, and her Italian daughter, Sister Anne Tranelli CSJ; her sons, Patrick, Edward (Peggy) and Marty (Kristin) Ryan; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff on the third floor of Iroquois Nursing home for the loving care they gave Mary during her illness.

Services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave.
