Obituary of Julia Fletcher
Julia Rowe Fletcher passed away peacefully on Monday, June 1, 2020, at Francis House. Julie was born in Syracuse and raised in Westvale. She attended Cherry Road School, St Patrick’s, and graduated from Solvay High School. She continued her education at her beloved Marywood College, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Home Economics. She taught in the Cazenovia school system. While in Cazenovia she was introduced to her loving husband, Charles “Mike” Fletcher. They were married in 1951, eventually settling in the Camillus area, where they raised their seven children. Julie loved golfing, bridge with friends, family gatherings, and attending various sporting and academic events, especially those that involved her children and grandchildren. She was a long time member at Tuscarora Golf Club, an active parishioner of Holy Family Church in Fairmount, and a loyal member of the Marywood Alumni Association. She always put her family first. She taught us to be strong, loyal, and faithful.
