So sorry to hear of Pete"s passing. I have so many fond memories of time spent in "the mill" and in social events out of "the mill" with Pete. Golfing, Bob Seger concert as well as many other great times and many enlightening conversations. I went to several concerts over the 37 years i spent at "the mill" and Pete would get me pumped up with a cd prior to the concert. i will cherish those cd's (i have one in my truck right now) forever. i know for sure Bob Dillon lost one of his biggest fans. Think of Pete any time you hear a Dillon song , i know i will.
My deepest condolences to Patty and Pete's entire family.
Pete you were the BEST !!!!!

I too was privileged to work with Pete at Crucible. I was the wire mill metallurgist when Pete worked in Tool Bit and in Atmosphere Anneal, and later I was his metallurgist in Heat Treat and Anneal. He taught me a lot about the steel, along with many life lessons. He was always the philosopher, deceptively low key but so smart and witty, and his slow, subtle grin sometimes left me wondering if he was kidding or sincere. He would share funny sayings, articles, poems, and cartoons, political or otherwise. Like others, I have been a lucky recipient of some of his custom CD’s: Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, the Beatles. I also remember his favorite donation for Toys for Tots was a Hess Truck. And there was certainly no mistaking his bold and distinctive handwriting on any mill ticket or memo! Pete was a treasure. My heart goes out to Patty and his family.

Dear Patty, Lisa, and the entire Cenajko Family ~ I was so surprised and saddened to read of Pete's passing. One of the great guys...He was a man of few words but, like my Dad...he had a very dry sense of humor! I must be special, because I have in my possession, not CD's but, many cassettes (must be from some of his earliest recordings :)) I have to say, though, I will never forget him...what a beautiful human being he was to put a cassette tape in my hand at my Dad's wake. It had a beautiful compilation of songs that I remember playing over and over, through grieving the loss of my Dad. Thoughtful songs recorded by a good friend of my Dad's..."priceless." The memories we share are their blessings to us. Thinking of you all with my deepest sympathy, much love, and understanding...

Pete was a regular for our monthly breakfast at Denny's (with ex Crucible guys) for many many years. Enjoyed his emails and his CD's which he made for all us. He was good person to have as a friend and I will miss his sense of quiet humor. Always smiling and always helpful. Our breakfast table will have an empty spot which no one can fill. Will always Miss you Pete!!! Lee Fernandes.

I too had the privilege of working with and know Pete while working at Crucible. As others have said, he was a fair and (for the most part) easy person to work with. For me it was as scheduler in the Tool Bit department.
Prayers go out to Pete's entire (and extended) family.

This is heartbreaking news and I offer my condolences to the Cenajko family. I knew Pete throughout my career at Crucible and valued his friendship. I had not seen him since the pandemic began but enjoyed his daily emails. His deadpan sense of humor was one of a kind.

I had the pleasure of working with Pete at Crucible in the Tool Bit Dept for many years. Pete was the best boss I ever had there. He was fair, treated me with respect and would always stick up for me. If he needed something special done or to get a hot order out he would never question me about it because he knew it would be taken care of. Every Christmas he would always give me a little gift and a card and I would give him one in return. He didn't have to do that but that but that was the just type of person Pete was. I am so sad to hear of his passing and I send my deepest sympathy to his wife Patricia and his family.

The Cenajkos have been in my my family’s’ life for as long as I can remember. So close many years ago and even though our lives taken different paths we will still always be close. I feel their loss deeply and pray and think about all the great times we had. I will miss the “grumpster” He was a faithful husband and a loving father that took care of his family to the fullest. So many fond and funny memories will never be forgotten and always cherished. Love you Mr. C.

My condolences to the Cenajko family. Your Dad was a great guy. We had a lot of great conversations during the Little League years with the boys. He was always at the games.a great supporter of the “Green Team” and his boys. A man who supports and stands with his family is a treasure that should always be remembered. God Bless your family at this tough time. RIP.

I have fond memories of the Cenajko family. One specific memory of Mr Cenajko was the night he stayed up to the early morning hours paying the Nintendo bowling game with me. Lisa had gone to bed early during a sleep over. When he saw I was playing by myself, he joined me for a few hours of video gaming! That was the most I ever heard him talk! Lol. So sorry for your loss.
