Obituary of Christopher Hayes Donegan
Christopher Hayes Donegan, 37, of Syracuse and Otisco Lake went to paradise Wednesday, January 20, 2021 surrounded by family at Ellis Hospital Schenectady, NY as a result of complications of pneumonia.
Christopher was a graduate of Corcoran High School, Onondaga Community College and SUNY IT, where he earned a degree as an electrical engineer. Chris liked golfing, bowling and bonfires. He loved sports, especially the Yankees and enjoyed vacationing with his friends and family in Myrtle Beach. Chris was one of the kindest, funniest guys, always smiling and enjoying life. Life was exciting and fun when Christopher was around and although he was gone too soon, the funny stories will always live on.
Christopher was predeceased by his grandparents, Edward and Gertrude Donegan, and Robert and Shirley Hayes. Christopher was the most awesome, loving son to his parents, Chris and Terry, best brother to Terry Jr., Mary Beth, and Peter, and coolest uncle to Brandon, Ethan, and Aliyah. He will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his two dogs, Mick and Yogi.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 1pm at Most Holy Rosary Church, 111 Roberts Ave, Syracuse. The family will receive friends and relatives from 12pm-1pm prior to the mass at church. Burial will be private.
In Christopher's last act of selflessness, he donated his organs to living recipients.
