Obituary of Joseph Patrick Sheehan

Joseph Patrick Sheehan passed away Friday, March 5, 2021 at strong memorial hospital after a long battle with heart disease.  He was a veteran of the Marine Corps. and served in Vietnam. Joe was retired from the United States Postal Service after 34 years as a letter carrier.  He enjoyed his Tuesday get togethers with Postal buddies at Tully's and frequented the casinos.  Joe especially enjoyed family trips to North Carolina and going to the beaches with his grandchildren.   

Joe is predeceased his parents, Catherine and John Sheehan and Margaret and Robert Halton and several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Mary Margaret (Orr), daughters, Lizzie Sheehan of Syracuse, and Pattie (John) Malinowski of Liverpool, son, John Joseph Sheehan of Mesa, Arizona, four grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Sabrina, Logan and Paige, two brothers, Robert (Julia) Halton of Vero Beach, FL and Tom (Carolyn) Halton of Solvay, two sisters, Noreen Halton-Czajak and Mary (Mac) Halton-Cowling of Syracuse, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 12pm at St. Patrick’s Church, 216 N. Lowell Ave.  Calling hour prior from 11-12pm at the church.  Burial will be private.
