Obituary of Turi Virginia Lombardo Benjamin

Turi V. Lombardo-Benjamin, 61, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 2nd, 2021. She loved working with the elderly and had worked in healthcare for 45 years. She worked most recently as the Director of Purchasing at James Square Nursing and Rehabilitation Center from 2003-2018. Turi loved traveling with family, her favorite places to visit were Lake George, N.Y. and the U.S. Virgin Islands. She also loved dining out, listening to music, and being surrounded by her beloved pets while watching soap operas. Nothing was more important to her than her family and watching her beautiful daughter, Melissa, grow up. 

She was predeceased by her mother, Maxine Kraft and stepfather, Rev. Donald “Pops” Kraft; Father, Guy Victor Lombardo and stepmother, Anne P. Lombardo. 

Turi is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter; Melissa (Chad), stepchildren; Justin (Sarah), Meredith (Dustin), Sabrina (Justin); ex-husband and best friend, Jeffrey Benjamin; siblings, Victor (Nancy), Lisa (David), Donna, Don (Derek), Carol (Bill), and Diane; her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. 

A celebration of Turi’s life will be held at the Town of Marcellus Parks and Recreation/Welcome Center at 2449 Platt Rd., Marcellus, NY, 13108 on Saturday, September 11th, 2021 at 12:00 PM.
