I cannot begin to share my many memories of Billy. He taught me so much at a very young age. The love of great music (traveling with the King Snakes), the love of great company, and the love of life in general. He taught me how to play poker at Suzie's camp on the lake all those years ago! Whenever I would get the great opportunity to run into him, it was always a wonderful trip down memory lane. To all his survivors, he was a great guy and will be deeply missed by all. I truly wish I was able to come to Swallows today to share this with you all in person. I am so deeply sorry for your loss.

I'll miss Billy a lot. I enjoyed every concert that he mixed while he ran the audio Board for the Parks Department. Great ears, great patience, great outlook on life, and he strove for perfection. That's all you can ask for in anyone, and he had it all. My sympathy and condolences to his entire family.

To the Gleason family,
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Billy. I had the honor of working closely with Billy for 35 years and want you to know how much we all loved him at the Parks dept. We worked many fireworks and dancing under the stars together and had a few beers together in the old dugouts at the old McArthur Stadium after the fireworks. He was the most humble and sweetest guy who would help by holding a door or loading your car. I am sending my condolences and prayers.

I am so very sorry for your incredible loss. I am heartbroken to hear of Billy's passing. Billy was one of the best parts of working at Parks and Rec. It's heartbreaking to hear of Billy's unexpected passing. My deepest condolences to his beloved family. I'll always remember his sweet and kind spirit--even when moving band equipment up that rickety ole fire escape at the Firebarn Tavern back in the 1970s. I'll always hold a warm spot in my heart for Billy.

Gleason Family,
I’m so deeply sorry for your loss!! I had the pleasure of knowing Billy for a long time and he touched my life in so many ways! This news was devastating to read and I’ve thought about him often all these years that have passed. You could always count on a Blue in his hand and a huge smile on his face! Heaven has inherited a true Irish angel, and we have all lost an even better man! Billy was the glue and life of the Gleason family and will forever be missed! Billy, my skates will forever be dull without you! Go give heaven some hell man! <3
Lots of love!

To Suz, Shayne, Kada, Bre and the entire Gleason family…
Needless to say, I along with many others, are heartbroken about Billy’s passing. I had the distinct pleasure of knowing Billy for (33) plus years and had the opportunity to work with him at Parks and Recreation. His talent and knowledge of sound made people sound better, whether it was on stage in a park or on the steps of City Hall. He loved
A good laugh and a cold beer, if so inclined. I am forever grateful for his friendship and being nicknamed “Rocker” based on our discussions around music or concerts.
Rest easy Billy. Heaven gained a great dude. Peace and blessings to the Gleason family.

Suzball, Shayne, Kada & Bre -
I am deeply sorry for your loss & love you all very much!
There are no words to express the pain I felt when I woke up to the horrible text with this awful news. There are so many good times to look back on with Shayne, Kada, Bre and, of course, Billy. From the times when Billy thought I was Shayne in high school to the nights spent at Swallows. There were many laughs during Tuesday night dinners with Shayne, Billy and I as well as during the time spent at Shayne's garage.
Time spent with Billy always included laughter, joking around and, of course, Billy telling me that he was “calmer than you dude”. I was never a fan of Billy’s Labatt Blue, but when Shayne and I finished what we were drinking and that’s all that was left, much to Billy’s dismay, we would drink them anyway.
Billy, there is not much I wouldn’t do to be able to have just 1 more Blue with you.
You will always be missed & never forgotten. Love you Billy!
Suz, Shayne, Kada & Bre, we love you all!!
Cory “Speedster” & Lauren
