Obituary of Theresa Evelyn (Haynes) Curran

Theresa Evelyn Haynes Curran was born on February 19, 1928 in St. Regis Falls, New York to Howard Haynes and Eva Paradise Haynes.

Theresa passed away in Houston on March 23, 2022 at the age of 94. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend who will be dearly missed.

Theresa graduated from St. Regis Falls High School.  She completed Business School in Malone, New York. Theresa began her career as a secretary and administrative assistant in Malone and then Syracuse, New York. After serving as administrative manager of the Upstate Bakery Drivers Pension Fund for many years, she retired in 1993.

Theresa was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Tom, on March 4, 2008. She was also predeceased by all her siblings, Howard, Alton, Walter, Harry and Mary Hamm.

She leaves behind her daughter, Candace (Jim) McDonald, grandchildren, Lyndsey McDonald Garza, and J.T. McDonald (Stephanie), and five great grandchildren, Nick Garza, Mia Garza, Thomas Garza, Owen McDonald, and Evan McDonald.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on Thursday, March 31st at St. Martha Catholic Church in Kingwood, Texas. Theresa will return to Syracuse to be interred at St. Mary’s Cemetery next to her beloved Tom.
