I have such fond memories of Jim and his wife Joan sitting near us during mass at St. Ann's when I was growing up.
Jim was always so friendly and my mom Margaret always considered Joan a good friend. I recall my mom going down
to Jim and Joan's house from time to time.
Joan, take care and thanks too for being such a good friend of my mom's.
Prayers for you and your family at this time.
(I am sorry my mom passed a way 3 weeks into COVID. No one was able to join us for mass at St. Ann's but I know good
friends like you were with us in spirit

You are all in our thoughts and prayers. We all have very fond memories of Jim and his mother and our Aunt Mad, Ma Gorman.
When we chose this memorial tree Micki ( Madeline ) shared a touching story.
When Jim was away from home, in the Army during the Korean War, his mother when she was worried and missing him would sing this song:
I see the moon; the moon sees me
Down through the leaves of the old oak tree
Please let the light that shines on me
Shine on the one I love.
May you find comfort in your faith and your loved ones
and knowing that Jim’s light now shines down on all of you.
With sympathy and love,
The Cousins

Dear Joan and Family,
I am sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I do know that he is no longer suffering. I sure do hope they have some good golf in heaven, as well as baseball games year round.
I have to thank you for allowing me into your home and family. It has been an honor and privilege to work for you and Jim over the past year. I feel so very blessed for having known him. Jim certainly has a special place in my heart.
You all are in my thoughts and prayers and will continue to remain there.
With love and sympathy,
Colleen Turner

My condolences to the Gorman family. Worked indirectly for Jim where I learned "No good work is written but rewritten". Recall some interesting conversations with Jim when he would appear in our office area. I am sure he is leading some audit efforts in the heavens. May he now be resting in peace. John Scala

Joan, Jimmy, Chris, Nancy, Emma and Family,
I was blessed to know and work with your husband, father and Grandfather. He hired me into Niagara Mohawk from an Albany CPA firm and helped my wife and I settle into the Syracuse area. His family meant everything to him and he is the only one I know to have served our country in both the Navy and the Army…so we have lost a true Patriot as well. The prayers of my wife, Beth, and I are with you all. Kevin Feeney
