Obituary of Charles E. Lester, Jr.

Charles E. Lester, Jr., 82, of Syracuse passed away peacefully September 14, 2022.

Charles was born on February 12, 1940 in Syracuse to the late Charles & Bessie Lester. In 1957, he Joined the Marine Corps before being honorably discharged on 1960. He went onto have a long career in truck driving and was a member of the Teamsters 317. Charles was very active in the Marine Corps League and Toys for Tots.

He is predeceased by his parents, sisters, Doris, Agnes and Patricia.

Charles is survived by children, Richard, Kevin (Michelle), Kelly (Hugh) Brown, Scott and Charlie as well as several grandchildren.

A service will be held wednesday September 21, 2022 at 7pm at the Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home Syracuse, 3180 Bellevue Ave. Calling hours will be held wednesday September 21, 2022 from 4-7pm at the funeral home. Burial will be Thursday September 22, 2022 at 9am at Onondaga County Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.
