Obituary of Richard V. Castle

Richard Vincent Castle, 62, of Syracuse, NY passed away at his home on Saturday, December  17, 2022.  Richard was a US Navy veteran, having served on the U.S.S. Mississippi and a member of the American Legion. 

Richard was predeceased by his father, Robert Castle, mother, Margaret (Spain) Castle, stepmother, Marlene (Hudson) Castle, and grandparents, Walter and Mary Castle.

He is survived by his children, Cory (Katie) Castle, Jessie (William) Long and Kayleigh (Thomas Dunham, Jr.) Castle, his siblings, Michael (Leah) Castle and Sandra (Richard) Newvine and many nieces and nephews.

Richard’s calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022 from 5 to 7pm at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022 at 10am. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Clear Path for Veteran’s, 1223 Salt Springs Road, Chittenango, NY 13037
