Robert “Bump Bump” Virnoche, 84, of Syracuse passed away peacefully surrounded by family Sunday April 30, 2023.

Born in Two Rivers Wisconsin on September 18, 1938 to the late Paul and Viola Virnoche. In 1959 he married Diane Reinert and they eventually settled in Syracuse. He enjoyed fishing, watching the Green Bay Packers, spending time at Brennan Beach, traveling and dancing with his wife; together they made it to all 50 states.  Bob volunteered at Community Hospital and was an active member of the Elks Club. His greatest joy was spending time with family.

Bob is predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years Diane, parents, brother, Paul, sister, Kathi.

He is survived by Terri (Ron) Hannon, Lisa (Carl) Galler, Jeff (Erin), grandchildren, Ryan, Nathan, Heather (Brendan), Lauren, Claire, Olivia and Charlotte, a brother, Michael (Judy) as well as several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Thursday May 4, 2023 at 6pm at the Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave, Syracuse. The family will receive friends and relatives from 5-6pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center or the Camillus Elks Lodge.
