CELEBRATION OF LIFE PARTY FOR David Ferguson
SATURDAY, JULY 8th from 11am-3pm.
MOYERS CORNERS FIRE DEPARTMENT STATION 1
(8481 Oswego Road, Baldwinsville, NY 13027)
In true Fergie style, our dad wanted a big celebration of life instead of a sad and somber funeral. He wanted his friends, family, and his Fire Department family to remember the good times, and the love, listen to his favorite music, have a bite to eat, and share happy memories as we celebrate Dave finally being reunited with his sweet wife, Louise.
Dave’s ashes will take a last ride on Engine 41. There will be a procession of fire trucks going from Moyers Corners Station 2 on Morgan Road, past Station 4 on Route 57 and arriving at Station 1 under an arch of 2 ladder trucks and a flag for our country that he loved so much. Honor Guard will line up in the parking lot.
Once inside, Pastor Kip Gingrich will lead us in a prayer and a blessing.
After that, we will spend a few hours sharing a meal and remembering Dave in happiness and love.
After the celebration of life winds down at around 3 p.m., we will be headed to Home Team Pub on Route 57 in Liverpool to continue the celebration with a few drinks in his honor.
Any Fire Departments or Police Department friends who want to be part of the procession of emergency vehicles or Honor Guard as he is brought into the firehouse, please message or call Nancy Holmes at 315-409-3819 to coordinate line up times, location, and parking. We would love his final ride on Engine 41 to be a spectacular procession that truly honors his sacrifice and dedication to 50 years of service as a volunteer firefighter with Moyers Corners Fire Department.
Please note that the Chief has requested that there are NO MOTORCYCLES in the procession due to safety issues.
We will plan a memorial motorcycle ride for a future date as he belonged to a few different motorcycle groups.
