Obituary of Barbara A. Stack

Barbara A Stack, 87 years old, passed away peacefully on 8/6/2023.

Born in Syracuse, Barbara spent most of her life in CNY, residing mostly on Loehr Ave.  She was an insurance clerk for Sentry Insurance, but she retired as a secretary at St Anthony’s of Padua rectory in 2019 at the age of 83.  She was a member of Most Holy Rosary parish.

Barb was an avid reader and great lover of animals, especially cats.  She was a longtime foster for the Cat Coalition.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents Marion (Nellis) and Thomas V Stack and her brother Vincent Stack.  She is survived by Mary (John) O’Connell and Irene (Patrick) Crosby and 3 nieces.  Barb was also grateful for her supportive neighbors, especially Toni and her family and Marianne.

Barb donated her body to the Upstate University’s Anatomical Gift Program.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held April 7, 2025 at 11am at Most Holy Rosary Church. Calling hour from 10-11 at church prior to mass. Burial in St. Marys Cemetery.
