This past summer, Jerry and I snuck away from the Irishfest to take a few shots at the Saint Patricks gym. True to form, Jerry shared some entertaining basketball memories from his youth!
I will surely miss Jerry’s steadfast, loyalty, his enthusiasm, and his caring ways!
My thoughts and prayers are with Anna, Mary and the entire Conroy family.

Very sorry to hear about Jerry. He was a dear friend to my father and I always enjoyed hearing stories from when they would go to an SU game or listening to the two of them talking SU over the phone. Thoughts and prayers to all those who knew Jerry and are missing him.

I really enjoyed working with Jerry at Crouse. First met him when he was a monitor tech in the ICU. He had a great sense of humor and was an easy person to work with. Loved sending my orientees to work with him on 4N as they would come back with such positive experiences. Rest in peace Jerry and may God be holding you in the palm of His hands. God's blessings on your family.

I have known Jerry since our days at St. Patrick’s. He was always such a kind, friendly person. He always took the time to say “Hi”and have a chat whenever I ran into him.

I lived with Jerry and my brother, Steve right out of highschool and what an initiation that was. Though only for 6 months I was shown how to have fun and still be a hard working contributor to society. Jerry and I both applied for (and got) a new position being created at Crouse Irving Memorial hospital as monitor technicians. He continued (and flourished) in his role throughout his career, while I also continued in a cardiac role. I loved his warm, friendly and fun demeanor which I carried with me and believe I still do to this day.

Such a good friend, big heart and great conversationalist. Myself, brother Leo and Bob all shared a close kinship with Jerry. Cherished memories of us walking and mostly talking in Burnet Park. So very sorry for your loss. Our backyards meet. We also would run into each other at the gym. These last few years we got to know each other and found out we knew a lot of the same people . Our connections with Tipperary Hill. I used to be a Franciscan Sister and was also in the army and we shared many laughs over that. He will be missed! Just a kind and gentle soul. May he rest in peace.

Copying this from my FaceBook page: Jerry was my kissing cousin and I love him dearly. The world was definitely a better place because of him. From the time he welcomed me to senior study hall when I was just a freshman in high school until just a couple of weeks ago when I saw him at the gym and he shared family pictures with me, he was always so kind and such a cool guy. Seeing this obituary makes it real and it just sucks. So grateful to have shared a hug and a kiss the last time I saw him. I will hang on to that memory until we meet again. Love you, Jerry! Fly high!
