Obituary of Lucy T. Tyminski

Lucy T. Tyminski, daughter of Alfred and Margaret Taylor, died October 2, 2023.  She grew up in the Tipperary Hill section of Syracuse. 

 

After receiving a baccalaureate degree from LeMoyne College and a masters from Syracuse University, College of Education, she specialized in adult education and gerontology.  She served as a Planner for the Area Agencies on Aging both in Syracuse and Portland, Maine.  She was a former Program Administrator at Syracuse University College.

 

Lucy was predeceased by sisters, Margaret DeGirolamo and Eleanor McGann, and brother, Charles Taylor.

 

She was married to and is survived by her husband, Alfred R. Tyminski, as well as her children; Kenneth, Karen (Steven) Childs, Linda (Douglas) Linn, Martha (Christopher) Grener, grandchildren; Colleen, Jennifer, Brianna, and Shannon Linn, Curtis and William Childs, sister, Kathleen Shetler and brothers, Alfred, Edwin and Joseph Taylor along with many nieces and nephews.

 

A Mass celebrating her life will be held at 11am on October 7, 2023 at St. Francis Church, Marcellus, NY. Visiting hour will take place prior to mass from 10 to 11am.  Burial will be private in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
