I just came across this obituary I met Steven he was such an honorable man at Harvard summer school he was in Adam's house with me he was always a very concerned friend and caring person I will never forget him I believe he was there in 1980 the summer of 1980 he was still at canisius college at the time just taking some courses to add to his curriculum , you had great literary interests and interest in poetry and everything in this great life I will always remember him I'm so sad to hear that he passed away

Stephen shared with me his concept of The Peregrine Way in 2003, while working on a project. I was and still am in awe of his deep compassion for the people he served. Combined with his intelligence and commitment to the industry, he sought ways to improve life for senior citizens residing in adult care homes. After touring Peregrine Senior Living at Onondaga Hill last year on behalf of a family member, I contacted Stephen. To actually see his concept implemented in a residential adult care setting was exhilarating. It was the last time I spoke with him. To the extended Bowman Family I extend my deepest sympathy at this fragile time. I always felt it was an honor to know Stephen. With Kindest Regards, Suzanne Hutchinson

I’m heartbroken for his children and Maria. My friends Robert and Lee introduced me to Steve twenty years ago. We had a few things in common. Since, I’ve spent many hours talking about the importance stuff in life with Steve. I will miss that presence of someone who was so thoughtful, so deep, and so smart. I’m sad he didn’t have another twenty years here on Earth, but Steve is in paradise. My favorite memories are his wedding to Maria, taking him to my church, and my last real memory of stopping by his house. Whoever wrote the obituary, you captured him perfectly. I will try to read Dante in full before I see Steve again. God bless Maria, his kids and his eternal soul.

Very few people know this but it was Stephen who taught me how to do wheelies on my wheelchair. I clearly remember Stephen Ronnie and I in the kitchen of 217. I also developed my sense of humor along his sense of comedy. His loss left a void in my life. Stephen I'm sorry.
