To the Satalin Family,
It was with deep sadness that we heard of Kathy's passing. We were fortunate enough to have Kathy as our oldest daughter's teacher. How lucky were we! What a vibrant, upbeat, fun and energetic teacher....our favorite. Not only was she wonderful with her students, she was a friend to parents. We enjoyed running into her out and about...always with her ever-present smile. She was a bright light in this world. We are so very sorry for your incredible loss. You are all in our thoughts. Words can’t describe the impact Mrs. Satalin had on me. Not only was she my biggest support through my time as her student in 3rd and 4th grade, but she continued to be my biggest supporter even after I left her classroom. For years after, she clipped out my name and mailed it to my house every time I made the high honor roll telling me how proud she was of me and how she always believed in me. She kept in touch with me throughout high school and college through texts, phone calls, dinners and care packages and never let me forget how much she cared about me. She visited me in the hospital at one of my most vulnerable times and always reminded me how successful she knew I would be. I became a teacher in part due to the impact Mrs. Satalin had in my life and I will always remember the kindness, compassion and motivation she provided me. I know if I am half the educator Mrs. Satalin was I will be doing my job right. I am forever thankful I was her student.

My heart is breaking. Kath' s legacy is one of positivity, laughter, genuine kindness, passion and selflessness!
