John J Davis, age 79,  passed away peacefully on Monday December 25, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. John was born on August 1, 1944 to Aaron and Bridie Davis. John was a lifelong resident of Syracuse, NY.

John “Bucky” Davis was proud of his Irish heritage. Devoted fan of the Buffalo Bills and Syracuse Orange, an outdoorsman and well known for his handyman skills.  John retired from the Catholic Diocese of Syracuse.

John is predeceased by his parents, his brothers, Robert and William, as well as his former wife Ann Davis, the mother of his four beautiful daughters.  

He is survived by his children, Kelly Davis, Lynn (Ron) Radziseski, Michelle (Boris) Grams, and Janette (Anthony) Ranieri. Grandchildren, Lisa, Mark, Nicole, Zachary, Caitlin, Stella, Lillian, Henri, Sophie, Avery and Peter.  Great grandchildren Kaden and Taylor.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 1, 2024 from 3pm-6pm at Edward J. Ryan Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 10am at Most Holy Rosary Church, 111 Roberts Ave, Syracuse. Burial will follow at St Agnes Cemetery.
