Obituary of Pauline Louise Fountain

Pauline “Polly” Fountain, 77, formerly of Camillus peacefully passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024. Polly was born in East Machias, Maine, moved to Syracuse with her family, and was a graduate of Central-Technical High School. She was employed by Kemper Insurance in the Personal Lines Marketing Department for years and retired from Midstate Mutual Insurance Company. 

Polly was predeceased by her husband, John B. Fountain and her parents, George and Sadie Morong. She is survived by her two brothers, Gilbert (Susan) of Connecticut and David (Donna) of California, many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Bella.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024 from 10-11am at the Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. A funeral service will be held at 11am following the calling hours at the funeral home.
We’d like to thank the staff at Iroquois Nursing Home for taking such care of Polly, and also her many caring aides who befriended her while she lived at Brookdale Summerfield.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 5015 Campuswood Drive, Syracuse, NY 13057.
