One of the nice guys.
He was a great guy and a very good golfer.
I knew Matt from his work as an Investigator with NYSP and in the DA's office. He was one of the most effective and professional officers that I have ever known, as well as being a lot of fun to play golf with.
Deepest condolences to his family and to all who knew and loved him! He will be greatly missed!! RIP Matt!
Matt was my partner in league play at Pompey for a number of years. Great humble guy. I am glad to have had time with him.
I always enjoyed going up against Matt in a match, he was a good golfer, and a great guy.
Just a gentleman. I am better knowing such a fine Man.

To Matt's family:
Our condolences on the loss of a great guy. Jim knew Barb from her days at Le Moyne College as part of her Nurse's training and then we met Matt when they attended the same Pre-Cana Marriage Conference as us. Once in a great while one of us came across them throgh the years. Jim last saw Matt and Barb when Barb was a patient at St. Joseph's Hospital when he, as an Eucharistic Minister there, gave Holy Communion to the family while they were visiting Barb.
Although you mourn Matt's passing, celebrate that he was here. But now he is at that Home that God created him for.

I was in shock to hear of Matt’s passing, as I was on vacation this week, I played golf with him in a league on Mondays at Green Lake, at our final outing last September we teamed up to play together, I always enjoyed playing with him and getting the latest news about the “General” his great nephew Ryan Lt Colonel JAG Corp, who I said would be the JAG some day, rest in peace Matt, I will miss you Lance Cimino

Definitely one of the good guys. I knew Matt as a nurse first then met him again at Green Lakes Golf Course! Always a smile on his face and a kind word. I met him and Barbara when they came to my surgery center also. May he Rest In Peace. My condolences to his family.
