Sally McCarthy, 75, of Syracuse, NY passed away on March 09, 2024. She was born on December 15, 1948 in Norwich, NY. She moved to Syracuse to attend business school and quickly settled into her adopted city. She was retired from R.E.Dietz Co. Sally enjoyed travel, concerts, playing games of chance, socializing with friends and SU basketball.

Sally is predeceased by her husband, Arthur McCarthy, parents, Ed and Hazel Tansey, sister and brother-in-law, Jane (Buzzard) Moriarty and nephew, Michael Moriarty.

She is survived by her long time companion, Elwood Morgan, sister, Lynn (James) Lyons, brother, John (Darleen) Tansey, nieces, Jackie (Patrick) Barrett, Colleen Moriarty, Katie (Brian) Bradley, Maureen Moriarty, and Lexie (Kyle Graydon) Lyons and nephew Eddie (Kelly) Moriarty.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 11am at St. Patrick’s Church. A calling hour will be held from 10-11am prior to the mass. Burial will be private.
