Sandra D. Roller, 81 of Syracuse, NY passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends on Monday, March 25, 2024.  Sandy graduated from Blodgett Vocational School. She worked at NY Telephone Co, Proctor and Gamble and Onondaga County Health Department.  Sandy was a public notary and always willing to help people.  She was a communicate and Eucharistic Minister of St. Lucy’s Church.  Sandy enjoyed going to the casino, traveling, and playing cards- at which she was always a winner. She was a great cook and provided many meals to others.  She loved animals and had many pets through the years and enjoyed attending SU Football games. Sandy was also fortunate to be able to travel to many bowl games with friends.

Sandy was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Betty.  She is survived by her sister and best friend, Janice, many cousins, and wonderful friends.

Janice would like to thank the nurses and staff of UpState University’s 6I30, 8E ICU, 7122, and 5128W for their dedicated and exceptional care.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 10:30am at St. Lucy’s Church, 432 Gifford St.  Calling hours will be held from 9 to 10:30am prior to mass at church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.  

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Lucy’s Food Pantry, 425 Gifford St. Syracuse, NY 13204 or an animal charity of your choice.
