Obituary of Robert J. Sager

Robert J. Sager, 60, of Syracuse, NY passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Friday, April 12, 2024.  Bob was an Onondaga County Deputy Sheriff for 17 years. After his retirement he was a painter for the City of Syracuse DPW and was a member of the Painter’s Union.  Bob was an avid Yankee’s fan, loved Lake Ontario but his pride and joy was his 1970 Cadillac Deville.  

He was predeceased by his parents, Rollin and Georgianna Sager, and his brother, Charles Sager.  He is survived by his loving wife, Dianna, children, Christy Sager, Michael ( Arika) Sager Gregory Kukulski, Laura (Mark) Guida, Kelianne Kukulski and Zachary Kukulski, 4 grandchildren, and his sister, Sharon Laroway, two nephews, Brian and Kevin Laroway, and his fur babies, Nikki and Roxi Maura Sager.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 10am at Most Holy Rosary Church, 111 Roberts Ave. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 16th from 4 to 6pm at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
