Obituary of Barbara Woytan
Barbara Ann Woytan, 79, a resident of the Town of Onondaga for most of her life, passed away peacefully at Upstate at Community General with her loving family by her side on Sunday, September 1, 2024.
Barbara worked for many years as a financial aid advisor at Onondaga Community College, where she made many lasting friendships, and retired in 2007. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church. In retirement Barbara enjoyed lunches and games with friends, reading, gardening, family gatherings and watching her granddaughter play sports. Barbara was an avid sports fan, especially anything SU, as well as the NY Giants & the NY Yankees. She was famous for her baking, especially her assortment of Christmas cookies at the holidays. She was kind, generous and thoughtful, and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She was predeceased by her parents, Edward Siskowski and Anna Mahusky Siskowski.
She is survived by her children: Mark, Kevin, Karyl Ann (Mike Wicker,) and Todd, her brother: Michael Siskowski, her 2 granddaughters: Amber Woytan and Ava Wicker, as well as her nephews Michael Siskowski (Elizabeth), Sam Siskowski, and niece, Eva Boatwright (Stefan Boatwright.)
The family would like to thank the staff at Community for the compassionate care they provided to their mom in her final weeks.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 6 from 11am to 12pm at Holy Family Church with a funeral mass to follow.
Burial will be private at Greenlawn Cemetery in Warners, NY.
