John “Yeye” Johnson, 49, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 5, 2024, surrounded by family.

John was a proud father, brother, son, uncle and friend to many.  He had a passion for fixing things, mostly spending his time tinkering with and fixing cars.  His friends and family knew he was only one call away and always willing to help.

John is survived by his long-time friend and companion, Melissa Noeller; Children John, Karina, Karla, Brandon, Jadiel, Yeniel, Annalise and Logan; Mother Luz Melendez; Stepfather Richard Caro; Siblings Tasha, Vateena, Desire, Shamarah, Thamecco and Christopher; 9 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the love and care given by the staff at Rochester General Hospital during his time there.

Visitation will take place on Monday, November 11, 2024, from 3:00-5:00, followed by a memorial service at 5:00.
