Joan Nora Flanagan passed away Christmas Day 2024.  She was born April 12, 1930, on Tipperary Hill, Syracuse, New York, just a few blocks away from the famous traffic light with green on top.  She was proud of her Irish Catholic heritage and had a quick Irish wit.

She was predeceased by her parents, John and Hannah (Ryan) Flanagan, her sister, Mary, brother, John (Monsignor), and brother-in-law, Darwin Fesler.

Joan is survived by her sister, Ann Fesler and relatives in the United States and in Ireland.

Joan’s career was office management, first at Montgomery Ward and then retiring from the Chancery office in Syracuse. Her passion was decorating.  She watched all the home repair and remodeling shows.  She even subscribed to Architectural Digest.  Her heavenly home will be arranged exactly according to her good taste and specifications.
