My friend Diana...every time we talked, she would tell me a joke. I brought her famous chocolate covered potato chip recipe to Canada and it was always a favorite. We both liked to collect "Window Dancers". She was always so much fun to be around. When visiting, she always offered, beer and ice cream. I have some many good stories from over the many years we knew each other. Two of my girls are the same age as her girls and when visiting my mother (Bea James) who lived across the road, they played together. All I can say is that I will miss my dear friend very much. Sincerely, Linda Phillips (James) and family.

Diana was one of the most loving and sincere woman I've ever met. Strong as steel and as gentle as a summer breeze. She was giving and kind and always willing to share whatever she had with joy and grace. She endured much and never complained. In short she was a marvel and we will not see her like on this earth again. Only in heaven will we find beings such as Diana. I will miss her friendship and her example.

I'm not sure how people like this come about, but it doesn't happen often. She endured many burdens but never complained about any of it, and at the same time lightened the burden of others. I am so sorry for her family's loss and so happy her problems are over. Her reward in heaven will be great, I have no doubt. A truly pure soul.

My grandmother was one of the strongest individuals I have ever known. Anyone who has known her will know that she has such a warm hearted spirited. Not a bad bone in her body. I always remember every time I come home to Syracuse to visit, she will always whip my sisters and I chocolate shakes. But we would call them Pinocchios because she would use her pinnochio cups. Overall my grandmother is selfless and always cared for others. She is the most kind hearted. I will always cherish all the memories that I had with her. I am proud and thankful that she’s my grandmother. I love you Baba.

I recognized the smiling face. I met Diana I believe in 1969 when I worked at C&L for a short time before starting my career at Syracuse Savings Bank. She was so kine and friendly and I enjoyed talking with her each day. Years later she came into the Eastwood office of SSB, where I worked, and found she was married to the son of one of my clients, Lucy Morgillo. It was so nice to see her again. Lucy bragged to me how much she adored Diana and her Granddaughters.
She is one of those people who makes a lasting impression. I was glad to have known her.
My sympathy to all of Diana's family.

We were all so very sad to hear of Dianas passing. I have many wonderful memories of her, Jeanette and Elaine while growing up spending the summers on Sunhill Terrace at my Grams (Bea James) with my family and sister Brandy. Diana would always offer us kids cherry ice cream and was such a kind soul. My mom Linda Phillips (James) and older sister Sharry still kept in touch with her over the years and had just spoke to her before Christmas. Diana was even kind enough to send the famous Red Barn seasoning to Canada for us. I was lucky enough to see her a few years back when we attended my uncles funeral. She still offered us ice cream and a pint of beer from Steve. I will miss seeing her Penguin cards and photos that her and my mom have sent via mail thru the years. May she rest in peace. Sending the family so much love and healing prayers. xo Heather and Dave Gifford, St. Thomas Ontario Canada.
