Obituary of Helen M. Yule

Helen M. Yule, of Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully in her home, at the age of 90, surrounded by her loving husband and family. Helen was born on April 12, 1925 in Syracuse, NY. She was the daughter of Ludwig and Mary Bocon. She graduated from Syracuse Central High School and received a business degree from the Powelson Business Institute. After graduation, Helen worked as an Executive Assistant at Carrier Corporation. Helen was an active volunteer in a variety of charitable organizations as well as St. Ann's parish. She volunteered at Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing for many years and was an avid member of the Garden City garden club and the ladies of Bellevue Country Club bridge club. She loved golfing, travel, cooking, fashion design, and home decorating. Helen was married for 71 years to her loving husband, Richard F. Yule. Their love affair began as high school sweethearts and was inspirational. She is survived by her daughter Bridget, of Camillus, NY, her son Richard, of West Newton, MA, 3 grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter. Private services will be held at the Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 8th. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ann's parish, on Wednesday, December 9th, at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Helen may be made to Hospice of Central New York, 990 7th N. Street, Liverpool, NY, 13088.
