Obituary of John A. Fichera

John A. Fichera, 83, of Onondaga, died Monday after a long illness. He was a lifelong resident of Syracuse. John was a member of Local 545 Operating Engineer's Union since 1969. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church, Fairmount. John had an obsession with fishing and was an avid bowler. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years, Nancy and is survived by two sons, Joseph (Nadine) Fichera and Michael (Michele) Fichera; two daughters, Theresa Burden and Lisa (Greg) Goodwin; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10:30AM at Holy Family Church, Fairmount. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt.
