Obituary of Raymond A. Galuppo

Please share a memory of Raymond to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Raymond Galuppo of Syracuse, NY died peacefully in his home surrounded by his family and loved ones on January 18th at the age of 64. Ray was associated with The Syracuse Newspapers throughout his entire working life. He was especially proud of his work representing his colleagues over a 20 year span as President of the Newspaper Distributors Association. Retirement was filled with books, music, and the company of friends and family. He enjoyed golfing, badly, with his buds and especially took pleasure in hiking, camping and traveling with his family. "Patio events" with the neighbors was one of his favorite activities. Ray is survived by his wife, Joni Bingham and sons, Christopher "Critter" (Christine) Bingham of NJ and Brian (Jenn) Bingham of Boston and two grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother, Rick "Eddie" (Alice) Galuppo of New Hampshire, two sisters, Karen (Dean) Mosby of St. Louis and Kathy Galuppo of Colorado as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. A "celebration of life" will be held at Coleman's Irish Pub on Sunday, January 22nd between noon and 4pm. We ask that you join us in this family friendly get together, where we can enjoy the company and remember our times with Ray. In lieu of flowers we ask that you donate to Hospice of CNY (hospicecny.org) in memory of Ray Galuppo.
