Obituary of Eileen M. Hodgens

Eileen (McDermott) Hodgens left the people she loves on earth to be with the people she loves in heaven. Born in Boston, MA, she attended Salem State College and worked for the New England Telephone Company before marrying John "Dick" Hodgens. She lived a life of faith and passed the gift of faith to each of her children. While she traveled the world with her husband, some of her most special memories were the time she spent with her sisters on the beach in Marshfield, MA. She was predeceased by her husband, and six sisters. Surviving are her one daughter Mary Lee (John) McCurn and five sons: John (Kristie), Thomas (Ann), Stephen (Annette), Brian, and Paul (Jennifer). She will be greatly missed by her twelve grandchildren (Kari, Tim, Stephen, Connor, Alex, Patrick, Mary Kate, Brendan, Dan and Andrew Hodgens, Jane McCurn, KayLee (Joe) Tumonis) and great-grandsons Joey, Michael Tumonis – and her many special nieces and nephews. Calling hours Monday, Nov. 10 at Most Holy Rosary, 111 Roberts Ave., Syracuse from 9 - 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass.
