Obituary of Rosalyn E. Thomas

Rosalyn E. Thomas died Monday, October 17, 2016 at 95 years of age. "Ros" was born in Albany and moved to Syracuse, New York with her husband, Robert in 1946. Rosalyn is survived by her children: Diane O'Brien and Jeffrey (Kathleen) Thomas, grandchildren: Michael (Julie) O'Brien, Colleen (Chris) O'Brien, Erin (Matt) Spencer, Lara, Adrienne and Patrick Thomas, and great grandchildren: Brianna, Ben, Gina, Isabella, Mina, Evelyn, and Torin. Ros was an avid reader, fierce card player and famous for her chocolate chip cookies. Above all else Ros adored her family- her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her passion. The Family is deeply grateful to her care team at PACE/Malta House- especially her wonderful aides who provided such compassionate care over the past year. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 28th at 11am at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home. 3180 Bellevue Ave. Calling hour will be held from 10 to 11am prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rosalyn's memory may be made to the Vera House, 6181 Thompson Rd. Syracuse, NY 13206.
