Obituary of Teresa J. Giarrosso

Teresa J. Giarrosso, 91, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 26, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Assunta Giarosso. Teresa was a very religious person and active parishioner of St. Charles Church. She was a former communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She worked her entire life as a bookkeeper spending the end of her career working for C & C Distributors. She was an avid hiker and loved nature. Teresa was a member of the Adirondack Mountain Club and for them she secured most of the private land owner permissions for the Finger Lakes Trail in CNY. Most recently she was most active in the North Country National Scenic Trail of CNY. She was given several awards commending her efforts. Teresa was a very helpful neighbor and good friend to all that she encountered. She gave so much of her life to helping children with disabilities. She was predeceased by three brothers, William, Robert and Louis. She is survived by her brother, Thomas, her cousin Ed Calucci as well as many loving nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She has many friends that will miss her caring and thoughtful ways. A mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 11am at St. Charles Church, 417 S. Orchard Road. The family will receive friends and relatives from 10am -11am at the church prior to the service. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, South Ave. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her honor to a charity of your choice.
