Obituary of David J. Holihan

David J. Holihan, 68, of Tully, NY passed away at his home on Sunday, April 20, 2014 surrounded by family and friends.
He is survived by his brother, John (Debbie) Holihan of Baltimore, MD, a sister, Linda (Wesley) St. Onge of Maryland, NY, his daughters, Kelley (William) Kriesel of Manlius, Melissa (Michael) Meyer of Liverpool and Erin Greco of N. Syracuse. He is also survived by many special friends, including Michael and Joyce Rienhardt and their children, MacKenzie and Zachary of Tully, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his daughter, Julia, his brother, Mark, his parents, John and Ethel (Crawford) Holihan.
He was a proud Veteran serving with the 101st Airborne, where he was awarded a Combat Infantry Badge, a Bronze Star and many other awards. He is a past Onondaga County Legislature member and was very active in the community and Veteran organizations.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 28, 2014 at 10am at Most Holy Rosary Church, 111 Roberts Ave. Calling hours will be Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at the Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Avenue. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery
