Gloria N. Conger, 91, passed away on March 24, 2017 at the Nottingham Health Care Facility. She was born in Washington, DC on December 25, 1925, a daughter of Louis and Anna Nichols. Gloria graduated from Holton-Arms High School in Washington, DC. She attended Rollins College in Florida. Gloria married her beloved husband, Jason H. Conger, in 1946. Later they moved with their three daughters to Syracuse. For many years, Gloria was employed as a real estate agent at Eagan, Prudential and Hunt. Gloria was very active in her church, West Genesee Methodist. Also, she was a member of Eastern Star. Gloria enjoyed many activities including skiing, golf, bridge, and spending time with her family at their summer home in Old Forge, NY. Gloria was predeceased by her husband, Jason, and her two sisters, Adrienne Constantine and Sophia "Becky" Chaconas. She is survived by her three daughters, Jacqueline Panza and her husband, Richard, of Ohio, Connie Conger and her husband, James Billings, of Syracuse and Carolyn Conger and her husband, Thomas Bray, of Colorado. In addition, Gloria is survived by two grandchildren, Emily E. Panza of Ohio and Jason A. Conger of Georgia. Gloria has a nephew, Christopher Chaconas, who lives with his wife, Fada, in Washington, DC. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the wonderful and caring staff at the Nottingham for all of the special care and comfort given to Gloria. A funeral service will be held Friday at 10am at the Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. The family will receive friends and relatives Thursday from 4-6pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Alzheimer's of CNY, 441 W Kirkpatrick St, Syracuse, NY 13204 in the name of Gloria Conger.
