Harry J. Hoesly, 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 6, 2015. He was born in Irvington, NJ and was a longtime resident of Syracuse, NY. Harry was a Veteran of World War II in the Army Air Force. After his military service, he graduated from Denver University. He then went on to work for Bristol Meyers, where he enjoyed a 35 year career in Sales and Sales Management. Harry was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family at the Kittatinny Lake cottage. He also enjoyed his collectibles, antiques, fishing and was an avid SU fan. Harry is predeceased by his loving wife, Jane L. (Busch) Hoesly and his son, William Hoesly. He is survived by his sons, Roy (Karen) and Stephen, his daughter, Beth Hoesly Manzene, grandchildren, Jeff, Terrance, Brian Hoesly and Sean Preston and great grandchildren, Keira and Piper Hoesly. Services will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave., Syracuse. Calling hours will be held 10:00 to 11:00 am prior to the service. Burial will be in Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Harry's memory may be made to the Franciscan Northside Ministries, 804 North Salina Street, Syracuse, NY 13208 or the American Heart Association: 2 Clinton Square / Suite 305, Syracuse, New York 13202.
