Obituary of John E. Rogers

John Rogers of Westvale, formerly of Elbridge, passed away March 1, 2016. He joined the Navy after graduation and became a deep sea diver. John was a professor in the Business Department at O.C.C. for 35 years. He published a Fundamentals of Business Mathematics book with help from Bruce Haney and Denise Laird of the business department. He was an avid N.Y. Yankee and S.U. fan. Sports was always a big part of John's life. In high school he played basketball and football. Later in life he coached football at Alfred University and Solvay School District. John is predeceased by his brother, Robert Rogers, January 7, 2000. John is survived by his wife, Elizabeth and step brother, Sonny Davis, his sons, Matthew (Melissa) Stephen and Jeff (Patty) and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be private.
