Obituary of Patricia Hamilton Johns

Patricia Hamilton Johns, 87, of Syracuse, died peacefully on June 28, 2015 under hospice care in Stuart, Florida. Patricia was a 1947 graduate of St. Vincents. She enjoyed downhill skiing, golf and swimming. She loved animals, especially her three cats Chad, Betty and Lou. She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Maurice Johns, her five stepchildren Rich Johns, Brad Johns, Glenn Johns, Pam Wayne, Jackie Johns, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her Sister, Anne Potts (N. Syracuse), nieces; Mary Purington (Skaneateles), Anne Manzene (Liverpool, Elaine Sullivan (Liverpool), Gretchen Hull (Brandord, FL), Susan McArdell (Clay), Kathleen Gibbons (Liverpool), nephews; Richard Potts, Ernest Peter Dauenhawer, Jr. (Auburn, GA) David Hamilton, and many grand nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. at St. James Church at 4845 S. Salina Street on Monday, July 6, 2015. Prior to the service, friends and relatives may visit from 11:00a.m. to 12:00p.m.at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home at 3180 Bellevue Ave, Syracuse. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Humane Society.
