To Danny's Family,
I graduated with Dan at Liverpool and then had a fun time during a vacation with girlfriends to CA. Dan was in the Seabees then and he showed us around - lots of laughs and a good time that I've never forgotten. Fast forward several years and I met up with Dan as I volunteered on a committee for Empire FCU and then as an employee of Empower FCU. He was a wonderful man and has left you
way too soon. May God's grace and the love & support of family and friends help you through this difficult time.

We were so saddened to hear of Dan's passing. Almost 40 years ago, Dan was a major part of our magical Robineau Road life. Bill and I still talk about "RRACASS",
that bus trip to Vernon Downs and our infamous Block Parties. Dan had a major role in putting all of that together. He was a great guy. You could always count on him for delivering a sharp witty comment and extending a helping hand.
We will continue to hold his memory in our hearts, Sue.
Our thought and prayers are with you and your family.

I first met Danny back in the day when he was at Community Development. Over the years we did a number of projects together that were successful because of Danny's knowledge, commitment and sense of fairness. While working together I developed a tremendous respect and admiration for Danny but my most cherished memories are of our fishing trips north of the border. Over the years we went to a number of different lakes but we finally settled in at the Glen-Lor Lodge in Sydenham. Danny was the first on the lake in the morning and the last off at night. During this time together we did a lot of fishing and chatting. I got to know one of the nicest people that I have ever met and made memories that I will never forget. My condolences to the family on your loss of a great and wonderful husband and father.

He was one of the brightest stars the City has ever had on board. My heartfelt sympathy to all of Dan's family. May you rest in peace Danny.

So very sad to hear of this. When we moved onto our street in 1978, Dan was one of the first to welcome us. Always there to help with house projects or offer advice, he had a wonderful sense of humor, and a giving spirit. When John died, Dan was always there to answer questions and provide his support for me any my family. He is missed already. My love and condolences to Sue, Stephanie and Christopher. 💜

Dear Danny, You have left us too early. We will miss you so much. How can anyone forget your killer smile, your laconic laid back and humble personality. Your giving nature, always there for friends, neighbors, work colleagues and family.
I will never forget meeting you. Poor House North over 45 years ago. You just got out of the US Navy Seabees that day, wearing your pee coat and sailors hat. You hit the Canadian Club every night to celebrate your new freedom. You were so funny and handsome.
I invited you to join our drinking gang and introduced you to my sister Sue, who was a real party girl; so pretty and fun loving. The rest is a lovely history.
You made her so happy for 43 years of marriage. That made me so happy because she is very precious to me..
What a father to Chris and Stephanie and what a loving grandfather. No one ever said a bad word about Dan.
There is a place in heaven for special people like you. I know you are there with that big grin. Eternally happy.
I will miss seeing you on my visits to Syracuse. I always hoped, when you retired, you and Sue would visit me in Australia.
Rest in Peace special brother in law. I will always love you and never forget you.
God bless,
Bonnie

Well Dan, looks the four of won\'t make it out dinner or have that one more cup of coffee. We will truly miss you, as a matter of fact Jim has to finish this.I cannot remember how long we worked together, at least 30+ years. Dan was a person who never got mad at anything. He was so easy going and there for anyone or office in need. If any department needed something solved, they always called on Dan and knew it would get done. He will be missed by so many people especially Jim and I. RIP Dan. You will be missed.

I hit my last golf ball in September of 2009 at Drumlins East on the 18th green while my partner Dan of 29 years stood by and watched. We retired from the golf league together that year after a glorious run. Wow, did we have fun! I have not golfed since. Dan, or as I called him 'DT', was always ready to go. We were supposed to have lunch this week, but he never called. I will miss you my friend and I will never forget you. RIP - Bob Abbott
