Daniel J. Todero Jr., 66, a lifelong resident of Syracuse, passed away suddenly on Tuesday January 27, 2015. Dan was a graduate of Liverpool High School, attended Onondaga Community College, and is a Veteran of the US Navy Seabees. He retired from the City of Syracuse in 2002 after 33 years of service and recently retired from a second career with Empower Federal Credit Union after 11 years. Dan was recognized with numerous local community improvement awards. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, local history, travel, building Lego sets, spending time with his two grandchildren and always loved a good cup of coffee. Dan is predeceased by his father, Daniel Todero Sr. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Todero (McHale); son and daughter in-law, Christopher and Jillann Todero; daughter, Stephanie Todero; mother, Shirley Gunther; grandchildren, Julian and Connor Todero; and several siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held Tuesday at 10am at Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 4069 Howlett Hill Rd. Calling hours will be held Monday from 4-7pm at the Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sarah's Guest House, 100 Roberts Ave., Syracuse, NY 13207
