Marilyn Simmons Nash passed away peacefully on April 3, 2015. She was born on April 9, 1929 and graduated from Eastwood High School and Lycoming College. Marilyn was a resident of Eastwood since 1941, and loved her Eastwood Neighborhood. She was a buyer for Chappell's Dept. Stores making frequent trips to NYC's Garment District. She was owner and instructor at "Yankee Potter Ceramics" for many years. Marilyn loved her N.Y. Yankees and watched every inning of every game. She loved to attend Syracuse Chief's games since 1940, and her highlight was in 1941 when she won her first bike after she was picked from a packed house at the old MacArthur Stadium.
Marilyn is predeceased by her husband, Robert G. Nash. She is survived by her sons; Scott (Gloria) and Mark (Sharon), and grandchildren; Jennifer, Scott, Michael and Amy.
Services will be held at 11am on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave., Syracuse. Calling hours will be 4 to 7pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
