To the Katko Family
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom. It seems like yesterday; living two doors down from you on Suffolk Road, she would load us all in the station wagon and take us to Carvels for ice cream, or bring us to school at St Brigid's. She was so kind, and funny! Thankful memories last a lifetime! My thoughts and prayers are with you all!
Hugs,

My favorite memory of Mrs. Katko was at Justin and Sharon's wedding at Sharon's house. We were on the back porch and I was dancing (what I call dancing) with Mrs. Katko. She warned me to not throw her in the pool! We had a great time. Mrs. Katko was always fun to be around. Condolences from the Finney family, David, Karin, Sam, and McKay.

Some of the greatest memories we have of your mom was when she had her real estate license and worked for Puglisi Real Estate. She would come into the office with some of the greatest stories. Her humor and wit kept us all in stitches. When her and Bernie Sr got together, you couldn't get a word in edgewise! Now we are sure that they will have plenty of stories to tell each other. We are sure that Bernie is holding a BIG open house for her up in heaven! Your mom was a wonderful person and she will be greatly missed.Treasure all of your memories of her.
Our thoughts and prayers are with your entire family

Oh, I have such fond memories of Mary Lou, right up until 2 months ago when I delivered communion to her at Camillus Ridge. She was so lovely, feisty and very proud of her children. (I babysat for most of you!) We would reminisce of Gordon Parkway families and events. I'm sure she didn't miss the St. Patrick's Parade at all. She was watching it from above with the man himself, St. Patrick. I'm sure the many neighborhood folk welcomed her to heaven, along with my parents, John and Cissie. What a lovely legacy she leaves to all of you. I am so sorry I will not be home for her services.

One of my favorite Irish Memorials -
God saw you getting tired,
And a cure was not meant to be.
So he put his arms around you,
And whispered "come to me".
With tearful eyes we watched you,
And saw you pass away;
Although we loved you dearly,
we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only take the best.
Thoughts and prayers to you during this time.
