I recently encountered Marian at Iroquois Nursing Home at Christmas Time. She was the roommate of a woman we were visiting. I recognized Marian immediately from my years at Most Holy Rosary Parish and introduced myself to her and how I well remembered her and her wonderful brother Jack, who kept the MHR Church, School, etc. in great working order for many years. Marian truly amazed me when I mentioned my maiden name and how I had graduated from MHR as did my Dad, and she recollected on playing cards at my grandparents house on Bellevue Avenue and graduated from MHR in 1940 with my Aunt Rosemary! She was indeed a gift to me that day to hear of such vivid memories of my family so long ago. I treasure this brief encounter with this gracious and exceptional woman. God bless Marian as she is reunited with her family eternally. She certainly blessed and impacted our world in wonderful ways in her 98 years.
