As a Georgetown college classmate and long time friend of her son Robert Van Dyke of Washington, D.C., I feel as if I have always known Ms. Van Dyke. Lucy was an amazing woman. She was always upbeat, and very positive. I always compared her to the Energizer Bunny; nothing could ever keep her down. It was a pleasure to work with her for many years at the law office. She was an inspiration to others, and a caring person. She will be missed by many. RIP Lucy, I worked with Lucy at the County when I was very young in 1973 -1974. She was an unforgettable woman - funny, sweet and so full of life. She had friends aged from 20 to 70 there. She was so young at heart, easy to laugh possessing a wonderful, sassy, sense of humor making those around her laugh too.
