Obituary of Helen Byron

Helen A. Byron (Kennedy), 99, of Syracuse passed away Thursday May 14, 2020.

Helen was a graduate of St. Lucy's before going onto a career in nursing. She was a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital and served in the Army Nurse Corps in France During World War II. A communicant of Most Holy Rosary she also enjoyed volunteering at Van Duyn and at the Diocesan Archives. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Byron and son, Francis Byron Jr.

She is survived by a daughter; Maureen (Dennis) Williams, sons; Michael & Mark, grandchildren; Brendan, Meghan & Brigid Williams, as well as a great grandson, Dennis Colorado Vega.

Private services will be held. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Most Holy Rosary Church, 111 Roberts Ave Syracuse NY 13207 or St. Lucy’s Church, 432 Gifford Street Syracuse, NY 13204.
