Mrs. Hunt and Family,
I was truly saddened by the news of Chief Hunt's passing. Chief Hunt truly cared for his officers at SPD and the community he served in the City of Syracuse. He spoke with Officers in such a caring manner. He would ask how you were doing, how the job was going and meant it when he would say, "if you need anything all you have to do is ask".
Even after his time at SPD, I would run into him from time to time and he would stop, take time to talk with me and truly listened. He asked how I was doing, how things were going in my life and told me, if ever I needed anything I could call on him. He had a kind and caring heart, and he will be missed. Praying God's peace and strength for you all, during this difficult time.
