Kathy and family. Leo “my man” met in the early 80’s. We became roommates and then teammates. He could walk down the streets of a war zone or the halls of the White House and earned everyone’s respect. He was a Patriot that on occasion would speak of a driving force, his brother Michael. Leo always had your back. Rest In Peace my brother. DOL

Dear Bob and Liz and all the Kelly family,
Jim and I were sad to learn of your brother's passing. The tribute was very beautiful. As a cheerleader at Sacred Heart and a graduate from there in 1969, I probably cheered Hearts against St. Pats at basketball games.
Wishing all of you peace and comfort in your memories. As the Ukrainian prayer for the deceased goes "May his memory be eternal".

My first quality interaction with Leo was on the Burnet Park basketball courts; probably early 60s. Though younger than I, Leo was a very good player and simply a nice fellow. My most sincere condolences…Paul Lynn

If you knew Leo in high school at St.Patrick’s he was quiet, a gentle giant of a man. He was held in high esteem by friends & loved by all; except perhaps his Parochial League rivals in basketball & baseball. He challenged them all with his great athletic ability & talent.
In the pubs of Tipperary Hill when a name comes up in quiet conversation many times you will hear from a “neighbor” at the bar the expression “ He’s a good guy”. This is Tipp Hill’s version of the “Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval” by someone who knows the measure of the man.
By all accounts Leo was “A good guy”.
One of the best.
Running into Leo & Kathy over the years, Lisa & I were always greeted with big welcoming smiles & a fun conversation; a beautiful couple.
Rest In Peace Leo-Billy

Dear Kathryn,
Marilyn and I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family on the sudden loss of your husband, Leo.
Growing up, Marilyn’s Bryant Ave back yard in Tipperary Hill joined those on Burnet Park Drive. She recalls all the handsome, smart and fun Kelly ‘boys’ and their hard working widowed Mom. We recall attending St. Patrick’s school, where Leo was a good guy, good athlete and always a gentleman.
You should be so proud of Leo’s accomplishments, not only through his military service but also through his character.
Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with you in these difficult times. Your husband’s service will never be forgotten. Though nothing can take away the pain of his passing, know how very much he loved you and yours. How blessed he was with his family.
Sincerely,
Marilyn (Costello) & Don McNamara
