I was privileged to work with Terry in the early 1980's in the Transit Police CWPS unit. A great guy who taught me a lot as a young rookie. ,"Come on Bob, let's get them dopers". Had a ton of laughs working with Terry and his partner Louie. He was a good guy who was always willing to help out.

I knew Terry personally. As President of the Transit PBA which represented Police officers I remember terry coming to meetings. We would also see each other at job social functions. Terry always had a smile on his face and never a bad word for anyone other than those he arrested. He was a good cop and a better man. May he rest in Peace

I first met Terry in 1965 in Transit Police District # 3. We became fast friends for over 50 years. He was an excellent cop and Detective 2nd Grade. The Benson name still carries on in the NYPD having a son a retired Sergeant and grandson serving in the 34 precinct. God speed Terry until we meet again.
